WELCOME TO 3D ASSET
3D Asset is a Navisworks based application that uses information from a 3D model as the foundation for advanced workflow processes, and the gateway to a project database.
Our technology helps to reduce the costs of operating and maintaining existing assets by significantly reducing your administrative overhead and ensuring information integrity to support management decision making

INDUSTRIES SERVED
3D Asset is designed to be used on revamp or greenfield, onshore, offshore, upstream & downstream projects.
It can be used on any process plant project across a diverse range of industries such as power generation, offshore, subsea, refineries, pipelines, marine, mining and nuclear.
Use 3D Asset to manage processes during all stages of a project lifecycle including construction, hook ups, commissioning, operations & maintenance, and turnarounds.

ANY 3D DESIGN SOFTWARE
The software uses attributed intelligence in design models to link to a database. It uses Navisworks files produced from all leading plant design & BIM software applications including:
Autodesk Plant 3D & Inventor | Revit | IFC | AVEVA PDMS |Intergraph PDS | SmartPlant |CADWorx | Bentley OpenPlant | AutoPLANT |PlantWise | CADPIPE | CAD Schroer MPDS4 | CADMATIC I Tekla

SCAN TO AS-BUILT
3D Asset has the power to transform unintelligent geometry only models originating from laser scans into an information rich resource suitable for ongoing operations.
The software has the power to enrich scan to as-built models with line lists, equipment lists, Instrumentation lists, spool information, MTO and much more.

USING 3D MODELS FOR PLANT OPERATIONS
3D design models contain high quality information in the form of attributed data properties. 3D Asset connects these to a project database to provide operations and maintenance teams with a central source of asset information.
Using the model as a gateway to information results in a better understanding of the plant or platform, enables operatives to visualise the scope and location of work packs, and allows logistics issues to be considered prior to going on site.
Model based document retrieval reduces wasted time searching for documents and provides more certainty that the correct information is being used. Project defined tags & properties help drive the processes involved with planning activities, managing materials, and keeping track of the work being executed.

3D ASSET INFORMATION MANAGER
3D Asset includes a proprietary database linked to the model consisting of attributes from the models and user defined information tags. All information is accessed and managed from an Information Manager.
The Information Manager acts as single point of truth for asset information and provides O&M teams with consistent and reliable information to drive tasks.
Structured information and user definable tags & properties are used to define workflow processes that can be monitored and tracked from within the Information Manager.
Viewing this information through the model provides a visual oversight of ongoing activities and improves communication between project teams.

FROM / TO LINE LISTS
Identify pipes from a line list in the Information Manager. Review & trace their From / To configuration & connections. Filter by any property e.g. system, spec class, schedule etc., then zoom to or generate reports.

ASSET REGISTER
Create a geo-referenced asset register for all equipment, lines, pipe supports, valves, and instrumentation. Also include all electrical cabinets, LV panels, lighting & safety equipment. Enable the O&M team with fast access to reliable data through the Information Manager for better decision making.

MANAGE WORK PACKS
Most operations & maintenance processes are driven by work packs. 3D Asset allows you to identify the ‘scope’ from the model so they can be visualised and understood in context with their surroundings. Progress and status is recorded through the Information Manager.

LEAK TESTING
Manage leak or hydro testing of installed spools using information from the model. Create and link user defined tags & properties to record compliance and ensure a structured procedure is adhered to. Identify systems and subsystems prior to going into the field to plan around any logistics issues. Create management reports and view status through the model using colour codes.

EQUIPMENT SCHEDULES
Find & view equipment and skids from the Information Manager. Isolate, hide or set other objects transparent. Access all pertinent information and documentation, or link new tags & documents to the object.

DOCUMENT ACCESS
Retrieve the right documents quickly through ‘point & click’ model access. Review all available information in context with the plant or building. Store documents in the 3D asset document manager, or use hyperlinks to an external DMS system.

WORK ORDERS & TQ's
Raise technical queries or work orders from the field or office using tags linked to objects in the model. Visualise the issue in 3D so it can be reviewed in context and better understood by all concerned. Use the Information Manager to keep track of the progress and status of outstanding issues.

WELD REGISTER
Use tags & properties to manage thousands of welds from the Information Manager. Apply a unique asset code to every weld and use Zoom-To to find their locations in the plant. Record corrosion status & inspection dates and link NDT results with certification documents to the individual weld. Keep records for compliance and regulatory requirements and have confidence that the information is correct and up-to-date

INSTRUMENTATION LISTS
Manage and visually identify the location of key instrumentation in the plant. Use ‘contents tags’ to record periodic readings for Q/A and compliance with operations requirements.

MANAGE MATERIALS
Create material reports for any line or spool direct from the Information Manager. Track the status and location of materials from fabrication through to installation. Generate equipment, valve or instrumentation lists for the entire plant or by zone and send to Excel for further processing.

PUNCH LISTS
Use 3D Asset tags and properties to manage a consistent punch list workflow. Make use of validated lists to ensure each operative follows a predefined procedure that ensures consistency, meets compliance standards, and enables progress reporting.

CORROSION MONITORING
Capture corrosion or NDT results direct into database through tags. Use 3D Asset on intrinsically safe handheld devices to eliminate paper based data collection. Review analysis from the Information Manager and in context through the model using colour coding.

SPOOL MANAGEMENT
Identify the content and scope of spools to support operational maintenance workflows through the model. Manage progress and status through the Information Manager.

DATA COLLECTION
Capturing information from the field direct into tags improves data consistency and reliability by imposing a structured process. Tags are defined with a mixture of model attributes and user defined properties using validated drop-down lists. Barcodes and RFID technology can be included in the tags to aid the information capture process.

MANAGE BOLTED JOINTS
3D Asset provides the tools for identifying and populating all bolted joints through the model into an integrity database. Tags & properties applied to each bolted connection ensure a structured, consistent and compliant checklist process is followed. Monitor progress through the Information Manager, generate excel reports, or use colour coding to show joint status.

BETTER COMMISSIONING
3D Asset provides a central source of information that reduces admin hours by eliminating paper based processes. Integrity is improved by using verified information from the 3D design models to populate tags & check sheets. Efficient data collection is tracked through the Information Manager and progress can be reported either to excel or colour coded through the model.

FIELD SOFTWARE
Although it’s commonplace for design departments to use 3D software applications, our clients tell us that not all their staff or their company is comfortable with moving 100% to 3D processes.
In the real world many fabrication, installation and commissioning processes are still done using 2D drawings and paper based documentation.
Senior management, rightly or wrongly, does not see the return on investment that a full scale adoption of new technologies bring at this time. One of the underlying reasons for this is the cost of putting Navisworks on a tablet for every employee.
There needs to be a halfway house whereby 3D design information can be used effectively but not necessarily always using the model. Our Field Asset application was developed specifically for this scenario.

FIELD ASSET
Field Asset contains all the information management functionality of 3D Asset but does not need or have access to the model. It is populated with information from the same database, and uses the same Information Manager and tag templates.
Users navigate the Information Manager to access tags for line lists, equipment lists, work-packs etc. and capture progress or maintenance information directly into the required property fields.
The system will auto-synchronise with the master network periodically or when a connection is detected after being run in offline mode. All users will see the latest information which can be analysed through the model in 3D Asset.

system requirements
3D Asset & Field Asset will run on any Windows PC, laptop or tablet.
- 3D Asset requires Navisworks Simulate or Manage
